Mirdif Metro Station: 2029 Plans & Today's Workarounds
Mirdif — one of Dubai's most established family suburbs — has always been near the metro without being on it. That ends on 9 September 2029, when the Blue Line's Centrepoint branch brings dedicated Mirdif and Al Warqa stations to the neighbourhood.

What's Coming in 2029
- Mirdif station on the branch running from Centrepoint (Red Line interchange) towards International City 1.
- Al Warqa station next along, serving the equally rail-starved Al Warqa communities.
- The payoff: Mirdif → airport corridor in minutes via Centrepoint, and direct rides to International City, Silicon Oasis and — across the junction — Festival City and Creek Harbour.
Reaching the Metro from Mirdif Today
- Drive/taxi to Centrepoint (best): 7–12 minutes from most of Mirdif to the network's biggest free park & ride — the standard Mirdif commuter move.
- Feeder buses: F-routes and local buses link Mirdif (including City Centre Mirdif) with the Rashidiya/Centrepoint hub on the same Nol fare — check S'hail for the current numbers.
- From Uptown Mirdif/Al Warqa edges, the Etisalat by e& Green Line park & ride is a comparable alternative towards Deira.
What It Means for Mirdif
Mirdif's pitch has always been villas, schools and City Centre Mirdif at suburban prices — with car-dependence as the tax. A five-minute neighbourhood station removes that tax: teens reach the city independently, commuters drop a car, and the district joins the "on the metro" property tier that historically re-prices upward around confirmed stations. Locations and final naming will be confirmed by the RTA closer to opening — tracked on our updates page.
